Blinded by the light, revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night

Rain pours from a dark, brooding sky as lightning fractures the clouds in a brilliant flash of white. Standing alone within the storm is a blindfolded figure, her wings behind her, caught between the darkness around her and the light she cannot see.

Blinded by the Light is a study in contrasts — light and shadow, vulnerability and resilience, chaos and stillness. The blindfold removes certainty, while the wings suggest hope, protection or transformation. The storm rages around her, yet she remains unmoving, inviting the viewer to wonder whether she is trapped by the darkness or rising above it.

This artwork explores the idea that life’s brightest moments can arrive when our vision is clouded, and that strength is sometimes found in trusting what cannot be seen. It speaks of moments when life feels overwhelming, when the path ahead is hidden, and when strength comes not from seeing clearly but from continuing forward regardless.
